Cole was a member of the Stingray Swim Team
family, the youngest of the Brotherton children. He
tragically lost his life at just 19 months old. In his
short life he touched many Stingrays with his
smiles, love of swimming, and general love of life.
Cole gave the ultimate selfless gift in April 2008 by becoming an organ
donor through Life Net.
The Cole Brotherton Award goes to the Stingray who encompasses: exceptional sportsmanship, cooperation, and willingness to help without question.
Each year, a donation to the Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughters is given in the name of the Stingray who best exemplifies selfless giving.
Anyone wishing to contribute monetarily in addition to the team donation may do so. Please see the Treasure. There is no age requirement to receive this award.
